The equipment takes an impression of a patient's foot for orthopaedic purposes and consists of a set of sheets. The sheet (7), which receives the impression is provided with a backing sheet (9). The sheet (3) which transmits the impression has a backing sheet (5). Both these backing sheets (9,5) are made of paper. The backing sheet (5) of the impression transmitting sheet (3) is coated with a pigment (4). The backing sheet (9) of the impression receiving sheet has a semi-adhesive coating (8) and a separator sheet (6) is inserted between the impression transmission sheet (3) and the impression receiving sheet (7). The adhesion between the impression receiving sheet (7) and the pigment coating (4) of the impression transmitting sheet is greater than the adhesion between the pigment coating (4) and its backing sheet (5).
