PURPOSE:To obtain the titled adhesive for freely openable and closable envelops, having high initial bond strength and rereleasability, releasable without leaving adhesion residue, by making the ratio of the longest diameter of a plane and an average thickness in a specific range into >=1 specific value. CONSTITUTION:The aimed adhesive using a polyalkyl acrylate preferably shown by the formula (R1 is H or methyl; R<2> is 5-8C saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon; n is integer) and 5-95% gel fraction and having the ratio of the longest diameter of a plane and average thickness of >=2 and 5-100mum average thickness. The average area of the plane is preferably 1X10<-6>-1X10<-4>cm<2>.
