PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting porcelain having small resistivity at room temperature and exhibiting zero resistivity at the temperature of liquid nitrogen, by constituting the titled composition with components of BaO, Yb2O3 and CuO. CONSTITUTION:The aimed porcelain composition consisting of BaO, Yb2O3 and CuO and being in the ranges of 4.1-69.9wt.% in BaO, 76.3-6.3wt.% in Yb2O3 and 17.1-33.5wt.% in CuO based on the composition. The above- mentioned composition range is limited from the following reason: Since in a porcelain having composition containing <=4.0wt.% and >=70.0wt.% BaO and porcelain having composition containing >=76.4wt.% and <=6.2wt.% Yb2O3 lowering of resistivity at room temperature is not shown, the compositions of these porcelains are excluded from the range of the above-mentioned composition. Further, since in a porcelain having composition containing <=17.0wt.% and >=33.6wt.% CuO superconducting characteristics are not shown, the composition of the porcelain is excluded from the range of the above-mentioned composition. |
