The apparatus has a heated contact surface for the welding of plastic sheets and possible auxiliary and/or supplementary items, and is designed as a welding press involving at least one welding electrode (1) and at least one counter-electrode (5). The welding electrode and/or the counter-electrode has a pointed or knife-edge welding and cutting edge (2) and is, arranged or deployed to be directly or indirectly manoeuvred. The pointed cutting edge is combined with a welding profile (3) which is arranged at a sharp or bevelled angle, and is preferably situated to the rear in relation to the cutting edge (2). In a stationary position in the welding press is a, preferably non heat-conducting separation strip, separation grille, separation weave, or non-woven separation material (8). The counter-electrode or counter-implement will preferably have contours, whilst the welding electrode will usually be designed with a cutting edge and/or welding profile.<IMAGE> |
