PURPOSE:To efficiency recover coolant for cooling circulating belt by arranging pads at back face of the circulating belt and a casting machine frame supporting the pads in the continuous casting machine for cast slab having casting space formed by one pair of the circulating belts for long side face and one pair of side plate for short side. CONSTITUTION:One pair of the circulating belts 1 for long side face is circulated around plural guide rolls 2. The casting machine frame 4 supports the guide rolls 2 and also constitutes a bad back face recovery flowing path 21, which is closed space by combining the pads 19 supporting the back face of the circulating belt 1 for long side face. A partition block 13 having elasticity is arranged at end part of the width direction of the circulating belt 1 for long side face. In the pad 19, water supplying holes supplying the coolant into gap between the circulating belt 1 and the pads 19 from water supplying pipes 9 through water supplying channel 6 are arranged. Drain after cooling is recovered into recovery trough through drainage holes 8 and the recovery flowing path 21 at back faces of the pads and further recovered to a recirculating device for the coolant. Leakage of the coolant and spattering to the cast slab is prevented by arranging the closed space at the back faces of the pads, and development of crack and warped deformation, etc., in the cast slab are reduced. |
