PURPOSE:To remove the odor of tobacco indoors by providing a deodorant composed of active carbon to which permanganate or bichromate is added in a housing space. CONSTITUTION:The water solution of permanganate or bichromate, both alkaline inorganic salt oxidizer, is prepared, and after active carbon is immersed in said solution, the same is heated and dried to prepare the active carbon with an inorganic salt oxidizer with the salt oxidizer added. Said active carbon with the inorganic salt oxidizer added is formed in various forms and used as deodorants for the filter elements of air cleaners and deodorizing device. By said arrangement, particularly the odor of tabacco in addition to the general bad odors such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, amine and the like can be removed effectively. |
