<p>PURPOSE:To dispense with grinding word to the bearing surface by forming a bearing surface through the burnishing work to the inner, peripheral surface of a porous gas-bearing, thereby narrowing the opening area of a hole part that opens to the bearing surface. CONSTITUTION:The inner, peripheral surface 1B of a porous, gas-bearing 1 is formed through grinding work, ensuring a burnishing margin b. Next, the bearing surface 1A is expanded to the predetermined dimension by applying the burnishing work, in which a burnishing tool 4 is press-fitted to the surface to be burnished, to the inner, peripheral surface 1B. Thus, the structure of a surface-layer part 1E of width T is compressed by the burnishing tool 4 that was moved, and the area of a hole 1F opening to the bearing surface 1A is narrowed. Accordingly, by forming the bearing surface 1A through burnishing work, the bearing surface 1A can be hardened, thereby dispensing with the grinding work to the bearing surface 1A.</p> |
