A device serves for depositing successively conveyed flat, flexible workpieces, for example tube sections, bags or sacks of thermoplastic film, preferably for the purpose of stacking them. A gripper conveyor grasps the workpieces at their leading ends and drags the latter with the rear regions hanging down. The grippers of the gripper conveyor release the workpieces above the deposition point, preferably a deposition surface or plate serving for stack formation. So that workpieces of thin and/or limp material can also be deposited in the correct position or stacked with straight edges, a clamping jaw (16) is provided which is controlled with the deposition cycle and presses the rear edge region (27a) of the respective workpiece to be deposited or to be stacked, approximately synchronously with the opening of the gripper conveying it, against the rear region of the deposition plate (7) or of the bag stack being formed such that said workpiece is clamped (Fig. 3). <IMAGE> |
