The sets of tubes (1, 1a) of the heat exchanger are connected to at least one end-plate (4). The surface of the end-plate (4) facing a header box (2) is covered by a sheet (6) made of an elastic material forming bushes (8) for the ends of the tubes (1, 1a) and a joint for the header box (2). In applying the invention to an exchanger with several passages, the header box (2) is fitted with a partition (12) defining two chambers (10, 11).
