TRANSMISSION SYSTEM INSPECTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To easily and accurately inspect a dropout, by detecting the dropout of video signals and displaying the dropping out part as a picture of a different luminance on a solid color picture. CONSTITUTION:Video signals are recorded on a prescribed recording medium and a reproducing means 4 reproduces the signals. A detecting circuit 15 detects a dropout from the reproduced signals outputted from the reproducing means 14 and detection signals outputted by the circuit 15 when it detects the dropout are inputted to a conversion circuit 13 and converted into video signals. The video signals outputted from the circuit 13 are inputted to an input means 14 and the dropout generating part is displayed on the solid color picture of the part where no dropout generates as a picture of a different luminance. Since the picture of the part where on dropout occurs does not change and stays black irrespectively of the picture being reproduced, dropout inspection becomes easier.
