PURPOSE:To obtain a termite controller capable of controlling eating damage of termite to houses for a long period, nonpoisonous to men and animals, containing rosin or pine powder containing rosin and fine powder showing destroying effects on termites. CONSTITUTION:A termite controller containing rosin or pine powder containing rosin and fine powder (preferably diatomaceous earth). The blending ratio is 5-1pt.wt. rosin based on 95-99pts.wt. diatomaceous earth and the controller is produced by immersing or spraying 200-500g diatomaceous earth in or with 100ml ethanol containing 10-3g rosin and drying at room temperature by blast. In the case of pine tree containing rosin, the blending ratio is 20-5pts.wt. based on naturally dried pine powder based on 80-95pts.wt. diatomaceous earth. The controller is uniformly sprayed upon woody part of floor covering material and pillar material soil under the floor or around the circumference in an amount to give 1-20g/m<2> diatomaceous earth. |
