<p>A large-capacity data switching system, includes a horizontal bus group having several data transmission media and a vertical bus group having several data transmission media, both bus groups being arranged logically in lattice form. Several data communication modules are each connected to the horizontal bus and the vertical bus at a cross point of the lattice-like array, for accommodating several data lines. This is for controlling communication between lines accommodated therein and the vertical bus or horizontal bus, or between the horizontal bus and the vertical bus or between the aforementioned lines themselves. The invention permits the processing of large-capacity traffic by enabling every one of a number of data communication modules to communicate with horizontal and vertical buses having a relatively small capacity.</p> |
