PURPOSE:To design for a reduced terminal contact resistance and lead inductance by a method wherein a terminal is provided in the external surface of the bottom of a ceramic vessel and a large-capacity lead connected to the terminal is connected to an inner lead demanded to be low in resistance. CONSTITUTION:An island 2 for the installation of an element is provided on the bottom of a recess provided at the middle inside a ceramic vessel 1. An internal lead 3 provided on a level plane over the recess surrounding the island 2 is allowed to penetrate through the wall of the ceramic vessel 1 to connect to an external lead 4 running on the external wall down to end on the bottom outside the ceramic vessel 1. A terminal 9 is provided in the external bottom surface of the ceramic vessel 1, and is connected via a large-capacity lead 10 to an internal lead demanded to be low in inductance. This design enlarges the cross section of an external lead and reduces the inductance of package leads. |
