PURPOSE:To enable thin coating of a photoconductive material and to improve photosensitivity of the photoconductive material by prepg. the photoconductive material by covering a powder body forming nuclei with another powder body. CONSTITUTION:A layer of a photoconductive material or fine particles contg. the photoconductive material sticking by fusion to the surface of nuclear particles consisting primarily of a thermoplastic resin is formed. Suitable thermoplastic resin forming the nuclear particles may be any of those having fixing characteristic, such as polystyrene resin, etc. This thermoplastic resin serves as a core material of a photoconductive toner, and the particle size of the resin in closely related to the particle size of a final photoconductive toner, influencing on the final picture quality, particularly on the resolving power of the toner. The nuclear particles are produced easily in spherical shape by the emulsion polymn. or suspension polymn., etc. of several monomers or prepolymers of a resin, adding, if necessary, several additives, thus a photoconductive toner having satisfactory fluidity and stable charging characteristic is obtained. |
