PURPOSE:To easily integrate a separating claw into a narrow space by allowing an operation of press-contacting and release of the separating separating claw for separating a transfer material from a photosensitive body to interlock with a press-contacting and release mechanism of a cleaner blade. CONSTITUTION:In a state that a cleaner blade 47 has been pressed against the peripheral surface of a photosensitive drum 40, a separating claw 80 is turned counterclockwise freely and set to a state that it has abutted on the peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum 40 by a load of a weight 82. Also, at a state that the photosensitive drum 40 goes into a rotational cycle for forming the next toner image, a shaft S is rotated by a prescribed angle counterclockwise and held. Accordingly, the cleaner blade 47 is withdrawn counterclockwise by using the shape S as a supporting point against energizing of a tension spring 49 and separates the tip from the peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum 40, and simultaneously, rotates a connecting shaft 71 counterclockwise abuts it on the separating claw 80, rotates clockwise against a load of the weight 82 and allows the claw tip to withdraw and separate from the peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum 40. In such a way, the separating claw 80 and be brought to press-contacting and release without necessitating a large space.
