PURPOSE:To improve a copy speed by executing a slit exposure by moving an optical member in the direction opposite to the conveying direction, while conveying an original at a prescribed speed. CONSTITUTION:While conveying the original 2 which is fed to an original placing table 6 by an original resist roller 23 and an intermediate belt 4 at a prescribed speed V1 by a conveying belt 5, a first optical scanner 7 exposes the original by moving at a prescribed speed V2 in the direction opposite to the conveying direction. In this case, a peripheral velocity of a photosensitive drum 14 is controlled so as to become V1+V2=V in case of unmagnification copying. In such a way, since the original 2 and the first optical scanner 7 move relatively at a speed of V1+V2, a copy speed increases, and also, since the first scanner 7 is not fixed, a lock device therefor becomes unnecessary, and also, since temperature does not rise, a cooling fan, etc., become unnecessary. |
