PURPOSE:To surely wrap a cut paper around a platen roller, by supplying the cut paper to a platen roller in the condition where the platen roller with a head pressed against it is set into a state for feeding an ink sheet. CONSTITUTION:When printing designation data is fed, a head 1 is pressed against a platen roller 2. Next, a feeding roller 10 feeds out a cut paper 4 from a containing cassette 11. When the leading end of the paper 4 is detected by a photosensor 14, the platen roller 2 is driven to rotate in a direction for feeding the paper 4, and an ink sheet taking up part 6 starts taking up an ink sheet 3. When the leading end of the paper 4 reaches the platen roller 2, the paper 4 is moved along the platen roller 2, and is taken-in between the platen roller 2 and the ink sheet 3.
