PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of an ultrasonic motor by interposing a moving plate, such as a platelike member between vibrators having horizontal and vertical vibration displacements. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor is formed through a moving plate (or a circular rotary disc) 2 between a vibrator 1 having a horizontal vibration displacement in the moving plate plane and a vibrator 3 having vertical vibration displacement. Thus, when the horizontal displacement of the vibrator 1 is rightward, if the direction of the vertical vibrator 3 is displaced in a direction for applying pressure to the plate 2, a pressure F acts at 4 between the plates 1 and 2 to exert a frictional force by the frictional coefficient therebetween, thereby moving rightward by the horizontal displacement. |
