The dock is subdivided transversely into a middle pontoon and two end pontoons, which all are provided with I individually operable ballast tanks and are removably attachable to each other. The end pontoons are dimensioned to lift the middle pontoon fully out of the water, and the latter is being so dimensioned that it can lift the end pontoons fully out of the water. All the pontoons, are provided with axially directed, mating male and female coupling members. These members are integral with the side walls and located vertically so as to permit an interengagement of the juxtaposed end faces of the pontoons in two different height positions. Releasable means receive the pontoons in either of the different height positions, and the end faces of the walls each including a channel formed space.
