Organopolysiloxane products containing acyl thiourea groups and from the units: (1) are disclosed. R1 stands for an optionally substituted phenyl group or an alky group and R2 and R3 for R4-SiO3/2 (2) units. R4 is alkylene. The free valences of the oxygen atoms are saturated by Si atoms of further R4 -SiO3/2 groups and/or by Si atoms of: (3) amine units, wherein R5=H; R2 or R3 and/or by cross-linking compounds of Si, Ti or Al. The ratio between the Si atoms in (1) and (3) to the Si, Ti, Al cross-linking atoms is 1:0 to 1:10. Various methods of preparing the products are described. These polymers to separate metals from solutions.
