METHOD AND DEVICE FOR WASHING ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR

PURPOSE:To completely finish the washing operation of an electrostatic precipitator in a short time while using a water washing system large in washing effect by washing dust collection passages with water and thereafter blowing pressurized air on the polar plates stuck with water droplets to remove them and then performing blast to dry the dust collection parts. CONSTITUTION:Dust and soot deposited in dust collection passages 17 are removed by spraying pressurized water toward the passages 17 of an electrostatic precipitator. Then pressurized air is blown on the polar plates 15, 16 forming the passages 1 to blow off water droplets stuck on the polar plates. Successively blast is performed through the passages 17. As a result, the time of a blast process can be remarkably shortened in comparison with a conventional method intactly performing blast after water washing. Therefore washing operation can be completely finished in a short time while adopting a water washing system large in washing effect and this method can positively correspond for the removal of adhesive dust and soot.
