Reactor building comprises a cylindrical skirt with upper part sealed by a dome, a concrete cylinder forming the vessel shaft located in the centre of an internal structure floor with its lower part reacting on a main floor by a peripheral support ring, with a space between the floors. There is pref. a compressible layer of parts between the floors over the entire circular surface. There are pref. slabs between the floors and resting on the main floor by at least three bearing points and covering the entire area within the skirt except for that part of the main floor facing the shaft. A compressible layer of polystyrene is placed over the slabs and is covered by nonreinforced cement mortar for protection during formation of the structure floor.
