A slide extends from a housing for interconnection with a receiver. An ejector is fixed to the housing and a hammer (26) is pivotal in the housing, spring (34) biassed toward a firing position. A sear (40) is pivotable in the housing to engage the hammer and retain it cocked against the spring. A disconnector (46) is slidable in the housing to prevent sear actuation during cocking. A reciprocable safety plunger is movable between an inactive position and a second position in which firing is prevented. The housing and components are interconnected so that the assembly may be withdrawn or inserted as a unitary module. |
