Removal of welding bead from window frames - involves machine with cutting tools mounted on vertical slides

The rectangular frame of a door or window is made from hollow sections which are joined together by butt welded mitred joints. After welding the welding bead is removed by means of a machine consisting of a baseplate (102) with two pillars (100,101). These pillars can be positionally adjusted relative to each other. The window or door frame is clamped to the machine and the welding bead is removed by milling cutters or broaches. These tools are aligned at 45 deg. to the side members of the frame and are mounted on slides which move vertically on the pillars (100,101). USE - Mfr. of metal or plastics window frames.
