In the known in-ear hearing aids, no special circuit is provided for taking the battery into operation or out of operation so that the battery is loaded extremely highly. To eliminate this disadvantage, a sensor circuit is proposed which becomes active by inserting the hearing aid into the auditory canal of the user and thus activates the battery.
