PURPOSE:To reduce ripple and noise, by limiting the range of pulse width control of each pulse width control circuit within the input period of synchronous pulse signals, and by shifting each input synchronous pulse signal. CONSTITUTION:A switching regulator is composed of the first and second regulator sections 11 and 12 of the same constitution. With a synchronous pulse signal generator 14 two-phase synchronous pulse signals CP1-CP2 in opposite phase each other at 50% of duty are produced, which are supplied to each PWM circuit A1-A2. For the PWM circuits A1-A2 for each regulator section 11 and 12, each pulse width control range is limited within the input period of synchronous pulse signals. No dead time control circuit is required to be added to each regulator section 11 and 12, because the duty is limited to 50%, so that the circuit is simplified and the reliability improved.
