PURPOSE:To monitor the collapse of a superconducting IC from a superconducting state and to prevent it by differentiating the material characteristics of the IC and a superconducting film formed through an insulating film thereon to detect the transfer of the state to a critical state in advance from a change generated at the film. CONSTITUTION:An insulating film 2 is formed on a superconducting integrated circuit, and a superconducting film 3 having different critical condition is further formed thereon. The critical condition of the integrated circuit is differentiated by selecting the material characteristics of the film 3 inside from the range of that of the film and the integrated circuit material characteristics. Thus, the transfer of the operation in the superconductive state to the critical state with respect to the integrated circuit is detected in advance, and monitoring means is provided, thereby always performing the function of the integrated circuit in the superconductive state.
