PURPOSE:To quickly and surely start a terminal equipment by starting the terminal equipment at a frequency higher than a telephone set call signal frequency and lower than the lower limit frequency of the telephone set voice frequency band. CONSTITUTION:A terminal equipment means 23 starts a facsimile equipment 7 at a frequency 16Hz higher than a telephone set call signal frequency and lower than the lower limit frequency 300Hz of the telephone set voice frequency band and consists of an oscillation circuit such as a multivibrator in an equipment where a terminal equipment call signal coming from a subscriber telephone set circuit is detected and said circuit is switched from a telephone set into a terminal equipment to start it. Thus, a terminal equipment such as a facsimile equipment is started quickly and surely, and in this case malfunction of the terminal equipment due to the telephone set call signal frequency and the telephone set voice frequency is avoided.
