PURPOSE:To obtain a shield wire which has an excellent shield effect even in a low-frequency region and is superior in its productivity by providing a shield layer which contains a superconductor. CONSTITUTION:A shield wire 1 is formed by coating a conductor 2 with an internal coating layer 3 made of resin and next coating this internal coating layer 3 with an intermediate coating layer 4 made of an insulating material and further winding a below shield layer 5 around the layer 4. The whole is coated with an external coating layer 6 made of resin so that this shield wire 1 is formed. The shield 5 is formed by laminating a ceramics oxide layer 5a expressed in composition Y0.2Sr0.8CuO3 on an organic material film 5b made of polyester, fluorine contained resin, or the like by a sputtering method so that its thickness becomes 10 mum. This shield layer 5 is cooled below a critical temperature by a prescribed method. A shield effect excellent in external magnetic and electromagnetic fields can be obtained accordingly.
