PURPOSE:To increase the P/V value of a main waveform while suppressing the P/V value of a sub-waveform by providing a vibration electrode to a small sized vibration element of a specific dimension and supporting the vibrating element by an electrode terminal nearly at the midpoint in the lengthwise direction. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric element 3 is formed to be a cuboid whose length is L, width is W and thickness is T and the length L and the thickness T are selected to satisfy the relation of 0.6<=L/T<=0.85 or 1.0<=L/T<=1.4. A vibration electrode 2 is adhered to a full face or a part of a couple of opposed L-W faces of the piezoelectric element 3. An electrode terminal 4 itself is adhered to the vibration electrode 2 by an optional adhesives such as solder (Pb-Sn) or conductive resin, to support the piezoelectric element 3. The electrode terminal 4 is fitted to the vibration electrode 2 nearly at the middle of the piezoelectric element 3 in the lengthwise direction. Through the constitution above, it is possible to set the P/V of the main waveform larger and the P/V of the sub waveform smaller.
