PURPOSE:To efficiently collect trace information and to uniform overheads operation for transmission by managing the entire transfer quantity and the transfer quantity of individual computers and giving the transfer quantity reference value to the individual computers by a host computer, and controlling the transfer quantity based on the reference value by the individual computers. CONSTITUTION:The host computer 1 is provided with a host trace flow rate control means 2, and the respective individual computers 4 have an individual trace flow rate control means 5 and an individual trace transmission control means 7 respectively. The means 2 of the host computer instructs the trace flow rate reference value of the whole system, and informs the means 5 of the respective individual computers of individual trace flow rate reference values. The individual computers, based on the instructions, increase/decrease the generating amount of their own trace information to control the transmission rates of respective trace information. In such a way, the trace information transmission flow rates can be controlled to be adoptive to the operation of the system.
