PURPOSE:To obtain the titled wire with the hardness of its tooth enhanced, thus free from defect of said tooth even inferior in toughness, by coating the whole surface of a metallic wire consisting of e.g. hard steel wire with a plastic mainly made from ethyl cellulose. CONSTITUTION:The objective wire can be obtained by coating the whole surface of a metallic wire 1 consisting of hard steel wire or alloy wire with a plastic 3 mainly made from ethyl cellulose. This wire is capable of preventing the metallic wire 1 from defect of the tooth 2 during the transportation, being used in worsted spinning machine, air fine spinning machine, etc.
