PURPOSE:To make a judging level properly correctable at all driving areas, by installing a device which judges whether the knock judging level is proper or not, and making the correction of a reversal level by the judged result so as to be performed by the correction device selected according to an engine driving state. CONSTITUTION:A knock is judged by a knock judging device C according to output of a knock detecting device (knock sensor) A and a knock judging level at a knock judging level making device B, and according to the judged result, the value of a knock control factor is controlled by a control device D. And, whether the knock judging level is proper or not is judged by a properness judging device E, and according to the judged result, the judging level is corrected by a judging level correction device F varying a multiplying factor to be multiplied to the value being varied according to knock sensor output or a judging level correction device G varying the absolute value determined irrespective of the knock sensor output. These correction devices F and G are selected each by a driving area discrimination device H according to the driving area. |
