USE:An agent for controlling aquatic adhesive life. Used as a component of an antifouling ship bottom paint, antifouling paint for fishing net, etc. It has excellent stability in paint preparation process, exhibits remarkable effect in inhibiting the adhesion and growth of aquatic life and has low toxicity to fish and shellfishes. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting anilines of formula II with a halobenzene of formula III (X is halogen) in the presence of an acid acceptor (e.g. NaOH) in a solvent such as dimethylformamide at 20-150 deg.C. |
