PURPOSE:To facilitate the division of paper for every JOB and to easily discriminate which JOBs division belong to, by printing patterns formed by laterally dividing a specific character for every JOB at a perforation position and printing a fixing mark on a perforation at the time of finish for every JOB. CONSTITUTION:This paper dividing system has a JOB control part 1, the JOB mark memory 2 connected to the JOB control part 1, a printing data memory 3 and a printing mechanism part 5 having the output of the JOB mark memory 2 and that of the printing data memory 3 as two inputs and having the output connected to paper 4. The JOB control part 1 applies printing to the paper 4 from the printing data memory 3 at every JOB through the printing mechanism part 5. At a period when printing is performed at a paper perforation position, the data of the JOB mark memory 2 is printed on the paper 4 through the printing mechanism part 5. The data of the JOB mark memory 2 at this time is the lateral divisions of a character is and, when the paper 4 is placed in a laterally stacked state, a specific character can be visually viewed along with a dividing mark at every JOB when looked from the side. At the finish time of JOB, a fixing mark is printed on the perforation position of the paper 4.
