Wood/metal frame in an opening, of the type having a leaf of square cross-section oriented along one of its diagonals in the plane of the opening. The external lower face of the leaf 1 comprises a first rebate 15 interacting with a step 27 of the fixed frame 2, a second rebate 16 oriented at 45 DEG to the first one and forming a weather moulding 17; the cover strip 3 has a shape taking up the symmetry of the internal part of the leaf and comprises a vertical edge forming a weather moulding 23 interacting with the strike element 34 of the metal frame 4. The metal frame comprises a vertical projection 32 interacting with the weather moulding 17 in order to protect the seal 29. <IMAGE>
