PURPOSE:To shorten the generating time of a control signal generated at the time of selecting a redundant word line, by supplying outputs only to a redundant block word line decoder from a few number of normal word line decoders at the time of selecting the redundant word line by a block decoder. CONSTITUTION:Normal word lines NW1-1-NW1-m and the redundant word lines RW1-1-RW1-n are provided commonly in memory cell groups 1-1-1-k. Normal block word line decoders ND1-1-ND1-m respond the normal word lines selected based on the outputs of the block decoders BD1-1-BD1-k to normal block word lines BW11-1-BW1m-k, and redundant block word line decoders RD1-1-RD1-n respond the redundant word lines selected based on the outputs of the block decoders to redundant block word lines RBW 11-1-RBW1n-k. And the block decoders issues the outputs only to the redundant block word line decoders at the time of selecting the redundant word line, thereby, the generating time of the control signal can be shortened.
