PURPOSE:To produce a high strength product having no anisotropy in the structure and mechanical properties without executing strong working to the material by mechanically working the powder obtd. by subjecting the Cu-Al alloy to an internal oxidizing treatment, lubricating the surface thereof, applying the powder to green compacting and hot forging the same. CONSTITUTION:The Cu-Al alloy powder is subjected to the internal oxidizing treatment to convert Al in the powder into Al2O3, and the resulting powder subjected to the internal oxidization is worked by an attritor, ball mill, etc. The coarse Al2O3 grains to be formed on the surface part of the powder is therefore mechanically packed into the powder and the powder having the lubricant surface can be obtd. Said powder is applied to the green compacting and the green compact is hot forged, by which the desired titled material can be obtd. without executing the strong working such as press working to the material.
