METHOD FOR ORNAMENTING ALUMINUM MATERIAL HAVING STUCK POLYVINYL CHLORIDE SHEET

PURPOSE:To ornament an Al sheet having a PVC sheet stuck with an adhesive by working the Al sheet to a desired shape, partially cutting off the PVC sheet to expose the Al surface, anodically oxidizing the exposed Al surface and carrying out pore sealing treatment. CONSTITUTION:A chemically treated layer 2 and an adhesive layer 3 are successively formed on the surface of an Al sheet 1 and a PVC sheet 4 is stuck to the Al sheet 1 by a roll pressing method. The Al sheet 1 having the PVC sheet 4 is drawn and the ear of the drawn body is cut off to form a cap 5. Two circular grooves 6 are cut in the outside of the cap 5 with a diamond bit to partially expose the Al surface. The cap 5 is then immersed in an aq. solfuric acid soln., where an anodic oxide film 7 is formed by conventional anodic oxidation. The cap 5 is further immersed in a dye soln. and the film 7 is treated to seal the pores.
