PURPOSE:To prevent the starting of a system by an unauthorized third person from occurring by comparing a pass word and the respective character string inputting interval ratios of the character strings constituting the pass word with previously stored data so as to decide. CONSTITUTION:At the time of registering the pass word, the respective character string inputted interval ratios of the character strings are computed from the inputted pass word and the respective character string inputted interval of the character string of the sequentially inputted pass word and registered in the interval ratio file 3c of a pass word administration memory 3. Meanwhile, at the time of deciding the pass word, the pass word is inputted and the respective character string inputting interval ratios of the character strings are computed from the respective character string inputting interval of the pass word. A computing element 2a sequentially compares the above-mentioned computed interval ratio with the data stored in the interval ratio file 3c of the pass word administration memory 3 so as to decide and generally controls the starting of the system after that. |
