PURPOSE:To obtain an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride-modified copolymer rubber excellent in moldability and storage stability, by kneading a specified ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer rubber with a radical polymerization initiator, a vinyl aromatic monomer and an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid. CONSTITUTION:This modified copolymer rubber is obtained by kneading an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer rubber and/or an ethylene/alpha-olefin/nonconjugated diene copolymer rubber (a) of a number-average MW of 10,000-100,000 an ethylene content of 40-85wt.% and a nonconjugated diene content <=3wt.% with a radical polymerization initiator (b), a vinyl aromatic monomer (c) and an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride (d) at 200-280 deg.C. The amount of said vinyl aromatic monomer added is 0.1-5wt.%, based on the copolymer rubber, and the amount of said unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride added is 0.1-5wt.%. |
