The invention of a cable-branching terminal and fully insulated branch of a cable from a main cable bonded under voltage has the purpose of improving a single-phase, fully insulated cable-branching terminal for providing a single-phase or multi-phase branch which, without the use of casting-resin sleeves, is designed to be quick, durable and protected against external voltage shorts. The known single-phase branching terminal has in this case an elongate insulating housing in which there is centrally connected a contact rail which forms a clamping channel with a pressing screw for fixing the branch conductor, and a threaded bore for a milling screw for bonding the main conductor, which is led between the insulating housing and a closure part, likewise consisting of electrically insulating plastic. According to the invention, the individual branching terminals, if appropriate for providing a multi-phase branch arranged next to one another in a tight circle, are in each case sheathed by shrink films and shrink tubes shrink-fitted under the effect of heat, the overlapping region of the respective shrink film and shrink tubes on the arrangement comprising branching terminal and main or branch conductor extending in each case until over the outer conductor section. There are provided in this case tubular and shell-like stubs or stub parts, which permit a continuous transmission to the insulating housing or to the closure part.
