A tube mail station has a first cover (11) to which is connected an incoming travel tube (12), and a second cover (40) to which are connected a departing travel tube (42) and a delivery tube (44). There is arranged, between the covers (11, 40), a motor-driven rotary part (15) which has a plurality of tubing pieces (20, 21, 22) for selectively connecting the connections of the covers (11, 40) when the rotary part (15) is rotated. The rotary part (15) has, furthermore, a straight store tube (22), and there is arranged, between the rotary part (15) and the second cover (40), a rotatable control disc (30) which in some sections is continuous, in some sections is open and, in other sections, passes air but not tube mail containers (50), these sections being capable of being brought selectively into alignment with the travel-through tube (20) and the store tube (22). <IMAGE>
