PURPOSE:To attain the arrangement of the action of a band mode and a gap mode at the arbitrary position of a relative quantity by making the auxiliary setting into a double pole auxiliary setting structure and determining the condition of the auxiliary output from the condition of the upper lower arrangements of the setting quantity of the double pole. CONSTITUTION:A controller is equipped with a process input part 1, a display keyboard part 2, an arithmetic part 3, a process output part 4, a set-up file 5 and a program file 6. With an address number on a RAM in the file 6 as an X112(EVT#) auxiliary output number, an X114(EVTSH) auxiliary setting 1 and an X116(EVTSL) auxiliary setting 2, one block of the data related to one auxiliary setting is formed and in the same way, X118, X11A and X11C are used for other auxiliary setting. To one auxiliary output, the two pole auxiliary setting of EVTSH and EVTSL is used. For example, when a process input signal PV is linearly increased, the upper limit value and the lower limit value of the scope of the numeric value are specified and the condition of the auxiliary output is determined.
