PURPOSE:To imprint the same character only by data replacement between a row and a column regardless of whether attitude information is at a longitudinal or lateral position by equalizing the number of dot light emission bodies which determines the number of rows of a dot matrix required for one-character imprinting operation to the number of 2nd pulses determining a column. CONSTITUTION:Each position signal of a frame photographed lastly by a film position detecting means 201 provided to a camera is inputted to a 1st pulse generating means 202 and an imprinting interval pulse for each character which is generated here is sent out to a 2nd pulse generating means 203 and an imprinting control means 204. Then 2nd pulses which are divided equally for the longitudinal or lateral position are generated by the means 204 with the output of the means 203 and a data imprinting means 207 is controlled by using the output of a storage means 205 stored with photography date data and the output of an attitude information storage means 206 stored with the attitude information. Namely, one character in dot matrix is generated successively according to the information of the means 205 and 206.
