<p>The shroud 1 for use with a machine such as a core-drilling machine for drilling a hole in a substrate such as a wall comprises a tubular body or chamber 2, a device 3 e.g. a flange at one end for mounting the shroud on the substrate (wall) in use, a device 4 e.g. a fixed or detachable ring at or adjacent the opposite end for acceptance of the machine or part thereof, and a connection 5 adapted for mounting an extraction unit on the shroud 1 and for connecting the interior of the shroud 1 with the extraction unit in use.
