<p>PURPOSE:To enable the simultaneous maintenance of long and short distance performances, by composing two kinds of transmission signals whose frequencies are offset by each other, and by making a reception signal pass through pulse compression filters corresponding to the respective frequency modulation extension pulses of said signals. CONSTITUTION:A first frequency modulation extension pulse signal prepared by a first transmission signal generator 11a and a second frequency modulation extension pulse signal having a frequency offset by the former's and being prepared by a second transmission signal generator 11b are composed 13 and subjected to frequency conversion by a first frequency converter 10 receiving a signal from a local oscillator 8. The signal thus frequency-converted is subjected to power amplification 9 and emitted through an antenna 1 or the like. A reflection signal from a target passes through the antenna 1 or the like and is converted into an IF signal in a second frequency converter 3 by a signal from the oscillator 8, subjected to IF amplification 4 and distributed to two by a distributor 12. Then, a first pulse signal is passed through a first pulse compression filter 5a and subjected to detection 6a to be a video signal, while a second pulse signal is passed through a second pulse compression filter 5b and subjected to detection 6b, and both video signals are sent to a signal processor 7.</p> |
