PURPOSE:To reduce memory capacity by roughly operating a moving amount based on pulses being outputted for every period of position detection signal, and operating the moving amount while including thermal expansion of a ball screw based on the position detection signal within the period of the position detection signal. CONSTITUTION:Moving amount L1 of a ball screw 3 is roughly operated through a distance operating means 9 based on pulses PSn being outputted for every period of position detection signals S1. Sectional distance L2 within the period of the position detection signal S1 is operated through a sectional distance operating means 6 based on the position detection signal S1. Driving amount of the ball screw 3 is operated in the form of an absolute value based on these operated values. Since pulses PSn to be counted correspond to single period of analog position detection signal S1, memory capacity necessary for accumulation of pulses can be reduced considerably in a driving amount detector.
