PURPOSE:To enable an immersion test to be safely and accurately conducted without deteriorating a work environment by directly heating a container and an immersion liquid, such as an oil, in the container by a heater. CONSTITUTION:This instrument is composed of an accommodating box 1 and a plurality of test units 2... accommodated therein. In case of an oil resistance test, an oil L and a test piece M are put in an internal container 9 in any unit 2, a lid 9a is closed and the unit 2 is set into an accommodating part in the box 1. The oil L and the test piece M in the container 9 are heated by heat generated from a mantle heater 12. The temperature of the heated oil L is sequentially and directly detected by a temperature sensor 13 dipped in the oil L. Controlled by a controller 8 based on a resultant detecting signal, the temperature is maintained at a constant value as a result. Although vapor and odor are generated when the oil L is heated, the vapor and the odor flow into the internal piping 11a of a cooler 11 and are cooled to be liquefied in the course of the piping 11a, being returned to the container 9.
