<p>PURPOSE:To improve on dielectric strength by a method wherein a highly insulating film is so inserted that the inner creepage distances may be longer. CONSTITUTION:An electrically insulating thin element 11 is positioned between a light-emitting element 102 and a photodetecting element 103, and is so arranged that it is not parallel with element mounting beds 101a and 111a. The ends of the thin element 11 protrude from the ends or their extensions of leads 101 and 111. The flat element 11 is so positioned as to satisfy conditions that it is accommodated within a light-shielding resin without any exposure and inclined as prescribed. In this way, inner creepage distances G and H indicated in the figure may be larger to enable leads to exceed the inter-lead dielectric breakdown limit along the interface between the light-transmitting and light- shielding resins.</p> |
